Danielle a native of New Orleans, La  joy for baking started as a kid. You know , it's  hard not to love baking and cooking when your born and raised in a city known for it's amazing culture and cuisine. Growing up she enjoyed watching her grandmothers and great aunts whip up the goodies in the kitchen. Her favorite thing was being first in line to get the spoon or bowl after a cake was done being mixed ( I know that was ya'lls favorite too).  Carrying out her families  love in the kitchen, baking was her favorite hobby. Baking and being creative was/is  always her happy place. In 2014 while planning her daughter's birthday party, she decided to make chocolate-covered strawberries and chocolate apples for her daughter's guests to enjoy. Danielle had so much fun creating those treats that she started creating desserts and treats for more people all while working her full time job.

Her hobby soon turned into her passion. She started to take things more seriously and decided to enroll in training classes to perfect her craft and increase her love of baking. In 2016 with the support of her loving husband, D' Taste of Elegance was born. Working in the hospitality industry for over 14 years, she would have never imagined, quitting her corporate job to start her own  business.  After 5 years of being a home based baker, with lots of hard work and dedication, in November of 2021, she opened her first storefront at 628 Robert Blvd Slidell, La 70458. 

D Taste of Elegance specializes in luxury wedding cakes, Elegant/Upscale wedding style custom cakes for all occasions, dessert Cakes , and a variety of fresh baked desserts.
