How much do Cake cost?

- Cakes Prices Vary based on Size, Design, and level of details. Custom Cakes Start at $100. You can click on our pricing link for further pricing details. We will begin offering a small variety of cakes and other Treats for those clients with last minute orders for local pick up. (Be sure to Subscribe to our email list and turn on social media notifications for important updates and announcements)

How Far in Advance should I order?

- As most orders are custom and weekends typically fill fast, we highly recommend getting your order in and secured with a deposit at least a month out. 2-3 months if your event is over a high demand weekend or holiday to ensure we can accommodate your order. We understand somethings are planned last minute and we will be more than happy to accommodate you if we can.
Is a Deposit Required?
- Orders booked online for local pick up are to be paid in full.
- Custom orders require a non-refundable fee of 50% of the total cost of the client’s order. The remaining deposit is due in full two weeks prior to your event date.
- Payment is due on all orders booked within 2 weeks of your event date. No date is reserved without a confirmed payment...NO EXCEPTIONS! All invoices automatically cancel after 24 hours of being sent .
How do I Place an Order?
- You Can place an order online for local pick up only. If delivery is required, please call the store to ensure delivery is available for your date.
- Custom Inquiries must be submitted through the inquiry form under the Contact tab or by emailing order@cakesbydtaste.com
Do you offer Shipping?
- Unfortunately, we do NOT ship cakes. We Will, however, begin shipping our Brownies, Cakes in a Jar, Mini Bundt cakes, and Pralines in the fall. These can be great treats to satisfy your sweet cravings or The perfect GIFT!
PAYMENT TYPES
- All invoices and payments are processed through Square. Through Square you can pay with VISA, Mastercard, American Express, VISA, Discover, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. You are also welcome to come into the store and pay in cash.

Do you have a Location where I can come to look at your work or Purchase items?
-YES! We are located at 628 Robert Blvd Slidell, la 70458. During the summer We are open Tuesday- Friday from 11:30am-6:00pm for Consultations and Pick ups by appointment only. Saturday 9:30am-1:00pm. Please call to Schedule. CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays. If you'd like to see our work, we do have Photobooks available in the Bakery, but most of our updated work is featured here on our website and online via Instagram @dtasteofelegance and Facebook

Do you Deliver
-YES! Local Delivery is available for orders over $75. We offer delivery outside of Slidell area for orders over $250. The delivery fee is based on roundtrip mileage and set up. Delivery address can be no more than 3 hours away. Deliveries after 5pm are an additional fee. Delivery spots are limited, so please check availability and book as early as possible.

Cake Tastings
-YES! Cake Tastings are available by Appointment on Tuesday-Thursday. Cake tastings are $35+ Tax. This is for 2ppl. Additional guest are $15 per person up to a total of 5 ppl. We offer 5 cake flavors of our choice and a variety of fillings and Buttercreams. Special cake request are an additional fee.
- We also offer sample cake boxes for those choosing to Pick up and enjoy on their on time. This box is $25+Tax and is enough to share with another person.. If you choose to move forward with booking your event within 7 days of your cake tasting, the initial fee is credited to your cake balance.

Do you make Sugar free, Vegan or Gluten Free Cakes?
- Unfortunately, at the moment we don't. We will be trying some recipes out real soon and hope to offer these options in the future.

Can I come in and purchase A Slice of cake?
-At the moment we aren't offering daily treats. ( I know I know..) But, we will post 2 days out the month for sales where you can come in or get treats delivered.​
What items do you offer?
- We offer Cupcakes, Wedding Cakes, Custom Cakes, Specialty Flavored Cakes, Brownies, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Dessert Shooters, Strawberry Towers, and Faux Cakes. We No Longer offer other custom Chocolate Covered treats, but we'd be happy to send you a referral list of Businesses you can use.
